Teen Confirmation

Guidelines:

  • Family should be registered at Saint Mary's Church.
  • Family should be participating in the life of the parish, particularly regular attendance at Mass.
  • Teens must have been baptized Roman Catholic and should have celebrated the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. **
  • Teens must be in the 10th grade or above.
  • Teens must be registered for and participating in either the parish faith formation program or attend a Catholic school, during a sacramental preparaton year. This is the Bishop's requirement.


Important Dates

Teen Confirmation Preparation for the 2024-2025 academic year:

  • Sunday, October 27, 2024 (12:30 pm to 2:00 pm): Parent and Teen Orientation - required for all those seeking Confirmation and their parents


  • Saturday, January 25, 2025 (10:00 am to 7:00 pm): Confirmation Retreat - required for all those seeking Confirmation


  • Confirmation preparation sessions will be held on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm beginning in February 2025. Dates will be updated here by November 1, 2024.

** Teens who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in another faith should call the Parish Office prior to registering. The adapted OCIA program may be the preparation process for you.

Many adult Catholics, for one reason or another, have never been confirmed. If you have been baptized Catholic and received Communion, but were never confirmed, please give Richard Mallory a call at the Parish Office for more information and to register for this process.
